CSIRO reinvests windfall into wireless research  Oct 22, 2009
The CSIRO team beat 22 international labs to solve the "multipath" problem - or the interference caused by reflected radio waves which slows down network speeds. They found a way to accelerate them by splitting radio channels apart, essentially turning a one-lane road into a super highway and making wireless about five times faster. (Sydney Morning Herald -- Technology)

Computer scientists scale 'layer 2' data center networks to 100,000 ports and beyond  Aug 18, 2009
Critically, it removes the reliance on a single spanning tree, natively leveraging multipath routing and improving fault tolerance. The computer scientists report this advance in data center networking on August 18, 2009 at SIGCOMM, the premier computer networking conference. (EurekAlert!)

Tutorial on solid-state disk (SSD) devices  Aug 8, 2009
The StorageSpire array supports up to eight 4 GB Fibre Channel connections and multipath failover for higher reliability. StorageSpire is designed as a direct replacement for a RAID array for applications like transaction processing. (Search Storage)

Microsoft Unveils Final Windows Storage Server  May 8, 2009
Foskett said the iSCSI client and multipath I/O (MPIO) now work with any iSCSI target, not just Microsoft's. And he said that with the easier set-up for iSCSI clustering and SIS and the QuickConnect feature of the Windows iSCSI initiator, "you've saved literally hours of setup time.". New Low Cost GPS Simulator Packs a Powerful Punch  Apr 14, 2009
The need to understand the effects of phenomena such as multipath reflections, atmospheric effects, and dropouts on devices has therefore meant that products must be taken out into the field and laboriously tested ... When the data is replayed, the GPS engine under test will re-create all the movement and satellite reception encountered, including all original multipath, satellite obstructions and atmospheric effects. A better way to distinguish Wi-Fi's flavors  Mar 11, 2009
11n hardware, because multipath implementations require multiple radios and antennas. Draft 802. (EETimes)

Tricks to tame your digital TV  Mar 8, 2009
UPGRADE ANTENNA: Locally, some DTV stations can be received with VHF rabbit ears and UHF loop antennas, but a large directional VHF/UHF antenna is necessary to solve a multipath reception problem caused by TV signals bouncing off water towers, etc. The multipath problem only shows up as ghosts in an analog TV picture, but it causes total loss of a DTV picture ... The gain knob might need to be adjusted because too much or too little amplification can aggravate the multipath problem mentioned... (Albany Democrat-Herald, OR)

    Editor's Mailbag (Feb. 13)  Feb 17, 2009
It ignores the common multipath reception problem that will only cause ghosts in an analog TV picture, but will freeze or break up a DTV picture into unwatchable squares. (See the professional engineering IEEE Spectrum magazine article on DTV antennas. (Albany Democrat-Herald, OR)

Rabbit Ears To Stage a Comeback Thanks To DTV  Feb 15, 2009
Rabbit ears are more or less the opposite of a nice big sat dish, in this case you have to contend with multipath signals and a very long list of other interference, so your odds of success are far more marginal. What can your parents, or anyone else do to get perfect reception. (Multichannel News)
